In line with the Company’s strategy to acquire or invest in businesses or resource projects in sub-Saharan Africa, the Board is actively evaluating opportunities within the manganese market.

Manganese is a metal with important industrial metal alloy uses, particularly in stainless steels and as the cathode (electron acceptor) material in standard and alkaline disposable dry cells and batteries.  The Board consider the manganese market to be an area which could offer value to shareholders, and are evaluating opportunities to acquire or invest in businesses or assets relating to the manganese industry.
