The Company’s strategy is to acquire or invest in coal or iron ore businesses or assets in Africa. However, the Company will consider mining businesses or assets which focus on other metals or minerals, which in the opinion of the Board offer value to shareholders.
The Company will focus on businesses and assets located initially in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, although other locations in Africa will also be considered if the Board consider those businesses or assets to be suitable for the Company.
The underlying objective of the Company is to benefit from early exposure to mining businesses or assets in under-developed locations, which have the potential to attract substantial foreign investment and which have the potential for rapid and sustainable growth.
Sable Mining’s Board have established business contacts and connections in Africa and are experienced in natural resource start-up companies, the raising of funds on international capital markets, evaluating acquisition and investment prospects and in the day to day management of public companies
